ICS102 – Introduction to Problem Solving and Computing I (The Problem Solving Process)

For years, my children had been wanting to learn programming because they want to become a programmer like me. My first step was teaching them digital citizenship skills, then I needed to teach how to THINK AND ACT LIKE A PROGRAMMER. Remember, anyone can learn how to code a program BUT not every one of them may be equipped with the necessary skills to be a good programmer.

🖥 ICS102 – Introduction to Problem Solving and Computing I – The Problem Solving Process 🖥

In this course, students will learn strategies that will help them tackle problems using simpler, more manageable chunks, and learn how to program with effective codes and less screen time. The main goal of this course is to teach students how to think and act like a programmer.

The Problem Solving and Computing course is a highly interactive and collaborative introduction to the field of computer science, as framed within the broader pursuit of solving problems. Your child will practice using a problem solving process to address a series of puzzles, challenges, and real world scenarios.

This course is a pre-requisite to our programming courses I will only accept a limited number of students in the Python programming course.

For those interested to join the course ICS102 but has not met our basic skills in Digital Citizenship (at least 5 sessions), you may need to take a placement test and/or attend a paid crash course in Digital Citizenship.
